Archaeology in Newcastle, Archaeology in Sunderland
In March 2012, the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) provided unitary body archaeologists such as officers of English Heritage and officers of county councils the ability to impose planning conditions to mitigate damage to heritage resources during the planning process. As such, many schemes falling within areas deemed to be of historical or archaeological interest will find a heritage planning condition imposed.
Vindomora Solutions’ heritage services can undertake all required conditions (barring Geophysical survey which can be subcontracted in) and includes desk-based assessments, historic building recording, metric survey of buildings and landscapes, archaeological excavation and evaluation, monitoring and watching brief schemes, community-based projects, heritage web design and publication and traditional pen and ink illustration and CAD draftsmanship.
We can be found on the Newcastle County Council tendering lists for all archaeological services required.
