Archaeological desk-based assessment

Archaeological desk-based assessments combine historical research with map regression, including records retrieved from historical records offices, the internet and any other source available. This provides an assessment of the archaeology known or suspected to exist within a development, and includes an Archaeological Impact Assessment (known and projected) as standard.

Historic building recording

Historic Building Recording schemes often utilise desk-based research to form part of the background for the building in question (usually as part of a Level 2/3 survey and above).
