Heritage asset investigation is now an integral part of the planning process in areas deemed to be of archaeological or historical importance, designated by local authorities or organisations such as English Heritage. In March 2012, the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) replaced existing legislation, providing unitary body archaeologists the ability to impose planning conditions of suitable levels to mitigate damage to heritage resources during the planning process.

Vindomora Solutions’ services include desk-based research, excavation, evaluation and trial pitting, metric landscape and building survey, historical building recording, watching brief work and both CAD draftsmanship and traditional artefact illustration. We can also provide support during community projects, and can also undertake publication and web design where suitable.

Vindomora Solutions can undertake all archaeological works directly (barring geophysical survey which can be subcontracted) and can be found on the Northumberland County Council tendering lists for archaeological and building recording services.
